4 New Mixes for January - Happy New Year!

Posted: Jan 20, 2005 17:20:28

cool mixes man - i've been listening to them at work and forwarded them to my buddy James in London (bubblefunk.co.uk) and he was impressed. James has DJ'd all over the place such like Russia and in Fabric. I'm liking the Blame tunes and breaky tunes on mix 4. Also Greyboy's a nice blast from the past.. still sounds fresh. that Detroit experience tune on mix one still sends shivers down me spine!! rockin horse!! dunno 'bout the answer machine bits tho.. lost me there.

Thanks for the comments Bump, glad you like the mixes. There are four new mixes available on the first of every month. I think the mixes your are posting about are from December, January's are currently available.

The Detroit Experiment - Think Twice track is produced by Carl Craig and performed by a 12 legendary jazz musicians from Detroit and your right is a fantastic track.

Trackwerk is basically two old mates Scott and myself (Carl) who just love and always have loved music and decided to launch a site to promote it.

Cheers

top notch mixes again - but I can't fit them onto CD, they're too long!

Posted: Feb 17, 2005 13:48:28

Where can you download these mixes, what are they?

Posted: Feb 17, 2005 20:25:04

Thanks again Bump. Sorry to hear you can't fit the mixes on CD, is you burner new? Most new burners should fit the files on, if not you could look at chopping the file down via a wave editor, Nero has one built that would do it or Cool Edit certainly will. Let me know.

If not in future we'll have to try and ensure they are a few minutes shorter.

Edmond the site addres is :-

Nice one, those mixes are quality. What ever happened to Walkner Moestl? I managed to pick up Heaven or Hell double vinyl on ebay recently for 99p. Don't think peeps know about him. That Busenfreund remix on one of those sets is wicked, as are most of them dub versions on Suzuki in Dub.

This is your site then i assume Trackwerker. What's the deal, do you have a record label or are these mixes just djs you know? I play very similar stuff myself.

Peace

Edmond, pleased you like the mixes. With regards walkner moestl you may want to check out this thread on the subject, which also has a link to their recent reunion gig.

incidentally if anyone know the proper name of track 7 from the tracklisting of this set then please let me know.

trackwerk don't have a record label, its just carl and me (two middle aged fatties sat at home being bedroom dj's) we simply love the music so much we wanted to spread the word of quality underground sounds.

lovin the 'Warriors' soundbites. ! You ever see a film called the 'Wanderers'? It had that big beefcake guy off Stir Crazy.. funny as hell.

Which track is the 'Warriors' soundbites in? Did you guys put that in yourself? Genius, I love that film

Renegade Soundwave - Ozone Breakdown (Original Version) from the Probably A Robbery 12".

I just cut that bit out using cooledit as I thought it would be a good way to start the set.

Was a good film though wasn't it. I always remember the guy in the car saying "warriors come out to plaaaaay", unfortunately I have no soundclip for that.

b.t.w. Carl and I are beginning to find the "4 mixes a month" on trackwerk to be hard work at times. I'm going to be a Dad in July and will have less time to devote to it all. We'd like to keep the 4 mixes a month idea going so we are looking for some guest mixes we could use to help us out from time to time.

If you fancy it, drop us a line with a link to your mix set and tracklistings.
