So you think theres a chance K&D; might finally come out with something new? Its been forever since anything has been out. I know K&D; had tremendous success in the late 90\'s and mid 90\'s, and you just cant ride on the same wave forever, so when are you gonna come out with something new. Its a shame when a great production duo achieves so much, only to let it deflate by not producing anything new. C\'mon guys get it together.

Forget it, people.
K&D inofficially split in 1999 after their Madonna remix. Except for big size DJ gig appearances and their G-Stone imprint they are no longer working together as artists.
If you are wondering why such super stars split, well, take a look at pop music history. Thereīs a few artist couples that divided at the height of their success: Lennon & McCartney, Simon & Garfunkel, Hall & Oates, Rick Rubin & Russell Simmons, George Michael & Andrew Ridgeley, etc, etc. Call the reasons egocentrism or simple artistic differences, but itīs a natural thing for musicians.
Luckily, the two still produce solo stuff. Itīs almost as good. Though itīs indeed sad to know the K&D magic will never return....

who cares... tosca and voom:voom rule.

peter's current style is sooooooooo far away from richard's...

Posted: Feb 10, 2005 09:08:21

thank god..

Geaorge Michael and Andrew Ridgely? You are not serious. Everyone knows K+D don't work together anymore and probably wont, so why's everyone banging on about it 5 years down the line?

Enjoy what they released and maybe, just maybe everyone can FIND SOME NEW MUSIC TO LISTEN TO. It's just a thought.

new voom voom album is amazing
it has detroit electro sound all over it...Wow amazing
Peter has a clear underground resistance, red planet influence and a much more sophisticated musical background than richard
Wanna talk about Blaze & cook remixes?
That's the new sound we're waitin for
That's Peter Kruder

exactly.. pepe for president

I prefer Richard D myself, much more dubby and less prone to the odd dodgy techno mix

Posted: Feb 11, 2005 14:46:10

prone? you gotta be kidding me.. ever heard D play a dj set in the last 2 years? (and i don't mean the "official" K&D gigs in countries who never witnessed the g-stone sound, thats purely for show and got nothing to do with the duo's individual development) Don't get me wrong, I'd still choose D's sets from most house djs playing out there, and he's a great producer who knows how to nail it for the widest audience possible (the whole tosca deal, successful as it can be) but K is unique, always pushing boundaries soundwise. It's not necessarily the fact that he's influences by detroit right now (might be Dnepropetrowsk next year) - it's the carefullness with details and soundscapes and the willingness to try less bassdrum and more voom.
I'm for one looking forward to the v2 album with anticipation. Fauna Flash are not to be underestimated here - great addition to K's Vintage wizardry.

Techno boundaries are much more interesting to him
I't s out there
names like justus kohncke,Dj Koze, michael mayer, los hermanos, mathew jonson just witness that techno electro is the near future
Peter's smarter than rich,he understood this long ago
gigolo records is top selling label @ the moment
Dj Hell is closer to peter than rich now

there is an art to progression...and I know Miles Davis is a great influence on both K & D...it is silly for them to get back together.
It you don't like the way things are going, you should leave the party.
But I think most of you know that the party is just getting started...
...I think I hear it now...someone just put on "Listen to the Waltz"

They just aren't as good individually as they are together, time to admit that and get back to work.
