has anyone heard a live set from peter recently? besides seeing voom:voom in NYC a few months back, i haven't seen any of his gigs posted online. just wondering what he has been spinning.

also, is it just me, or does electronica seem to be hitting a wall? i haven't listened to a great release in a long time. maybe it's because i was turned-on during the time, but 1999-2003 was a golden-age of club music for me.

i disagree... i think electronic music is still breaking ground today... sure what peter plays may be different from five years ago... but wouldn't it be boring if everybody played the same music all the time? listen to artists like amé or dabrye or dimlite... shit is getting deeper... as far as new releases go check out clarks' new album body riddle... stunning...

i still enjoy peter's sets immensely... but in my mind, the creativity of the early millennium has been traded for simplicity, and i don't approve. just for an example, compare ginger&fred to the new voom:voom material. layered rhythms have been brushed-aside for simple 4/4 house beats, and the element of surprise is completely lost in today's electronica.
